Educational Background
Dr. Aimee Daniel is a 2013 graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, where she discovered her passion for emergency medicine.
Professional Journey
Dr. Daniel practiced exclusively in emergency medicine in Flowood, MS, and Starkville, MS until January 2020. She then transitioned to a leadership role as Medical Director at the Tupelo Lee Humane Society, where she served until the opening of North MS Pet Emergency.
Return to Emergency Medicine
Opening North MS Pet Emergency has been a dream realized for Dr. Daniel. It has allowed her to return to the work she loves most — emergency veterinary care — in the region she calls home.
Personal Background
A proud North Mississippi native, Dr. Daniel grew up in Iuka, MS. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Josh Daniel, since 2009. Together, they live in Tupelo, MS, and are parents to three wonderful children: Jimma Cate, Shelby Wyatt, and Magnolia “Maggie” Reid.
Animal Companions
The Daniel family shares their home with three sweet pups — Oscar, Briar, and Mae Mae — and one fantastic feline named Jingle Bells.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, Dr. Daniel enjoys reading, crocheting, and hiking. She’s especially passionate about exploring nature, with a particular interest in mushroom identification and moth entomology. She also enjoys building her ever-growing houseplant collection.
